Business Librarian - Community Engagement Department
CurrentEmbed myself into the Glenview community with the following goals and tasks:Liaison with businesses, entrepreneurs, job seekers, and non-profits at offsite events, such as Glenview Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals Group, Leadership Glenview, and Women's Networking Group events.Build partnerships with organizations and stakeholders that support entrepreneurs.Facilitate financial planning, career counseling, community connection, and SCORE advising appointments with expert volunteers.Ideate, plan, and produce events at the library for the public on the topics of business, finance, and career in partnership with speakers, community organizations, and other libraries. Provide excellent, friendly customer service, technology assistance, library reference, and readers advisory at the reference and readers services desks.Keep up to date with publishing and library industry trends. Other duties and projects as assigned.
