Software development in Python with the Django web framework. We used Agile and TDD to iterate quickly, delivering performance improvements and new features quickly to our growing customer base.

Custom web application design, architecture, and implementation. I have written C++, Java, PHP, Javascript, and Python. The majority of my consulting work was done in PHP, Javascript and Python (Django), with a splash of Java early on. I also dabbled in Nagios configuration and scripting.

Code Scouts was a nonprofit corporation empowering women to find their place in the digital world. Through mentorship and community, Code Scouts leveraged existing curriculum and learning materials to facilitate learning and professional growth according to each participant's personal goals.

I was a key member of the organizing team of the Portland Python User Group from 2007-2014, leading the group solo for most of that time. Our user group met 1-2 times per month, drawing anywhere from 20 to 120 members to any given meeting. We focused on technical knowledge sharing among the Python community, mentoring beginner programmers at our hack.

I also wrote a backend data management and migration tool to maintain the data in the app's Postgres database.
