In my position I offer technical assistance to over 50 locations all across the state of Kansas. Basic duties involve answering a tech support hotline, which is active 24/7. Share in the responsibility of carrying an on-call phone after business hours. Resolve PC/software/network issues that arise in a timely manner. Schedule Televideo conferences via the Polycom bridge, and trouble shoot problems when they arise. Administer the creation of new users’ PC and e-mail accounts via Active Directory and Exchange tools. Control access to shared drives and folders on the network, and create new shares with the appropriate permissions. I use Script Logic to manage the user's network resources, and use Symantec's Ghost to manage the PC's images for ease of distribution. I also train users on how to operate their equipment (i.e. phone, voicemail, WiFi, VPN, Smartphone, and security devices).I also am the administrator the Avaya phone system. This involves managing and monitoring the POTS phone lines, the IP phone system, Audix system, disaster recovery system, desk phones, conference phones, and IP phones\faxes. Troubleshoot any issues that arise, create new phone lines, and make all routing/system configurations changes. I work closely with our Avaya business partners with any issues that I cannot resolve in a timely manner. I am also the administrator of the phone system's monitoring servers/software. I also administer the mobile users’ phones. I setup, troubleshoot, and assist users with their Windows Mobile and Blackberry devices.I am in charge of administering the mobile systems and physical company security. I administer the McAfee SafeBoot encryption server that manages all traveling laptops. I also administer the Schlege Security Management System for the Physical Security for several companies.
