A chemical engineer with a passion for achieving sustainability through clean energy. I am currently engaged in a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship role at UNSW and the ARC Training Centre for the Global Hydrogen Economy, where my team and I help academia, industry and government make informed decisions to progress the emerging Power to X sector (P2X). Leveraging skills I developed through my PhD in techno-economic assessment of renewable H2 value chains from the University of New South Wales, which included delivering flagship projects like the Australian-Germany HySupply Study, and the NSW Power to X Feasibility studies amongst others.Core Competencies:> Delivering techno-economic and environmental assessment and modelling tools for P2X value chains. > Strategy and business plan development for implementing existing P2X projects and commercialising emerging P2X pathways.

Phd StudentUnsw Feb 2020 - May 2024AustraliaWorking on developing techno-economic models to establish the feasibility of hydrogen production in Australia. The research looks at the current commercial technologies which include fossil fuel-based processes like steam methane reforming and coal gasification as well as emerging technologies like electrolysis. The aim is to establish the levelized cost of producing hydrogen ($/kg) from each of these technologies to determine whether hydrogen production is competitive within the current business environment. The findings from the work aim to improve on understanding the underlying costs, policies and infrastructural requirements of a sustainable and economic large scale hydrogen economy -
Trainee Process EngineerPetroleum Exploration Private Limited Apr 2016 - Jun 2017IslamabadWorking as a Trainee Engineer with the Process Department, my experiences:1) Carrying out Production and Operation audits of Processing Facility, I was able to cut down on the maintenance costs by 10%.2) Proposing a design of a double pipe heat exchanger to enhance evaporation of the water produced from the gas well. 3) Review of Project Proposals for developing a 50 MMSCFD Gas Processing Facilities and Gas based Electricity Generation from Low BTU Gas.3) Developed the Scope of Work for the Annual Turn Around of the gas processing facilities4) Part of the Commissioning Team of Compressors Project.5) Optimizing the Procurement Indenting system to bring down the processing time considerably.
