With a varied career predominantly linked to IT and Digital Communications, I have been involved in lots of projects which have used technology to great effect in driving forward all kinds of businesses, from tiny sole operator companies to global corporates.Along the way I've learned a lot about how businesses of all sizes operate, and a lot about how NOT to go about things! My most recent project is as one of the founding members of Education Destination, which launched in 2015 and has transformed the Isle of Wight into the foremost destination for educational school visits. We are encouraging thousands of NEW visitors to the Island each year, mainly in the shoulder seasons when tourism businesses most need support, and creating wonderful memories. We do this by 'educationalising' the Island's amazing array of visitor attractions. With such a rich history featuring dinosaurs, Romans, medieval kings, the Victorians and the great wars, we leave no stone unturned in our quest to deliver exceptional learning outside the classroom opportunities. Education Destination has now developed over 700 curriculum-relevant experiences for school children of all ages.
