Immunologist with 10+ years of experience in translational Immunology, cell & gene therapy, development of viral vector vaccines, cancer biology, T cell biology, metabolic reprogramming & etc. I have a master degree in Oral oncology and PhD degree in Cancer biology from University Malaya. During my education I conducted basic research on human head and neck cancer and breast cancer. My research included pre- clinical and animal studies on elucidating the effects of anticancer drugs on molecules and their mechanisms in cancer cells. I continued the research as Postdoctoral fellow in The Wistar Institute since 2019, to convey my knowledge to the translational research such as introducing new methods of treatment for human diseases. For instance, reprogramming the metabolic pathway in melanoma cancer cells, developing and evaluating the effectiveness of viral vector vaccines for gene therapy in pre-clinical animal models. Currently, I work as Staff Scientist in The Wistar Institute expanding the translational research at clinical trial and developing and evaluating viral vector vaccines such as adenovirus and Adeno Associated virus (AAV) for variety of human diseases. Additionally, I study the response of antigen-specific CD8 T cells to these vaccines and evaluate the efficacy of CD8 T cells after manipulating the metabolic pathway.Technical skills:Flow cytometry: Panel designing, optimization and handling of multi-color flow cytometry (BD FACSymphony A5 SE/A3, Celesta, LSR).Molecular Biology: DNA/RNA isolation; protein purification; RT-PCR; western blotting; silver staining; SDS-PAGE; cloning; AAV production; Adenovirus production; QC of virus production; Immunology:Cell culture; PBMC isolation from blood, spleen, liver and ex-vivo animal model; intracellular and surface staining of immune cells markers; immune cells enrichment and culture; adoptive and antigen-specific T cell transfer from in vitro into ex vivo animal model; ELISA and Immunofluorescent assays.Animal Handling:PDX surgery, Sc, IM, IV injection of drugs and vaccines; oral gavage; tumor volume measurements, tissue collection.Software:GraphPad Prism; FlowJo; Excel.
