During the first five months as the Director for Logistics at FINTRA, I have performed following tasks so far:• Planned the society’s operations for the upcoming society year 2020-21.• Lead an effective promotion drive for the department and the society through which we targeted more than 500 potential candidates• Managed the operations for the society’s orientation• Lead the recruitment drive for the department successfully• Received 50 applications for the Operations department, interviewed them and assessed them on multiple criteria• Hired the 8 best candidates for the department among the pool of applicantsMoreover, we plan to have multiple events, for which I will be leading the overall operations.

During my time as an Assistant Director for Logistics at FINTRA, I performed following tasks:• Carried out an effective promotion drive for the department and the society• Hosted the society’s orientation for the new potential applicants• Managed to get a good set of members for our department• Successfully conducted the Skills Development Program for the society members while working with my director• Managed the operational activities of Phoenix’21, FINTRA’s flagship event• Organized a social event at Phoenix’21: a Comedy Performance by a group of Pakistan’s renowned comedians• Managed the promotional tasks for Bulls and Bears 2021, the FINTRA’s intra-LUMS stock trading competition• Directed the operational tasks related to the printing and publishing of Bottomline, FINTRA’s annual research magazine

During my time as a team member at FINTRA, I performed following tasks along with my department fellows:• Learned multiple soft skills in the Skills Development Program conducted by the society• Maintained effective communication with the Office of Co-Curricular Activities at LUMS• Carried out a successful campus campaign for Phoenix’20, FINTRA’s flagship event• Assisted three teams consisting of 15 participants in different tasks in Phoenix’20• Managed society’s operational assets

I was assigned at one of the Grant Thornton Anjum Rahman’s clients, United Industries Limited, to work with the team performing their Internal Audit.I was assigned following areas to perform the audit procedures, individually and collectively:• Stock Checks and Stock Count• Cash and Bank Receipts• AP Vouchers and Payments for Raw Materials and Freight• Petty Expenses• TA and DA• Bank ReconciliationsDuring the internship, I learned and gained good insights about:• Management, Interpersonal and Presentation Skills• Organizational Behavior• Time Management• Technical Skills: I learned the basic use of SAGE Workflow and SAP Bookkeeping system.

During my time at LUMUN Society, I performed following tasks along with my team:• Contacted multiple organizations and individuals working for social and political cause.• Effectively maintained our previous affiliations with different National and International organizations.• Formed multiple new affiliations with different schools and organizations.• Maintained effective communications with all the affiliates.Later, I went on to become the Assistant Director of Public Relations at Youth Leadership Parliament (YLP) for the year 2021. There, I worked with Al-Bayan School System, which is a non-government school for the underprivileged ones. We wrote a play in which the children from Al-Bayan performed, and later the play was presented before the audience at YLP.
