Heavy Craft Technician/PipefitterKey ResponsibilitiesPermanent Contractor employed as Maintenance Heavy Craft Technician/Pipefitter including Foreman/Supervisory roles.Ability to work on equipment or pipework unsupervised.Understand, Mechanical and technology aspects associated with the Petrochemical Industry Read and interpret pipework isometrics, general arrangement drawings and vendor manuals.Maintained, repaired and refurbished critical items of mechanical plant including all types/sizes of pipework, Use all fabrication and repair equipment and machinery such as the automatic profile cutting machine and prepare pipework and fittings for welding.Carry out basic fault-finding and repairs.Deliver technical instruction in an area of advanced skill.Complete and agree Work Permits, including RAMS with Permit Issuer.Complete and participate in Risk Assessments.Regularly lead Toolbox Talks.Run day-to-day maintenance tasks on the Jetty.Since 1985 promoted to Team Leader/Foreman/Supervisor during 5 refinery shutdowns working on a number of process units.Working in the confines of a Jetty Terminal (maintaining/repairing loading arms, fenders etc) and Tank Farm.Supervising the installation/maintenance of various Capex projects at the refinery.
