Specializing in Mathematical Data Science (M. Sc. Uni-Göttingen), currently deploying and finetuning / building on pretrained (large language) models on HPC systems through SSH protocal where GPU nodes are present and the backends are hosted. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Background:Absolutely fascinated with math especially mixed in with sprinkles of some computation / algorithmic efficiency. Love taking theoretical concepts and implementing them. The more applied the theory, the more the fascination bubbles. Major areas of interest are interdisciplinary studies pertaining to CS X genetics or finance. Always had a knack for financial math ever since a child when I discovered time-discounting and compound interest at an early age. Other things that make me ponder lay in the general AI sphere (as opposed to narrow AI where things are heavily 'experimental'); I have experience with pytorch, pandas, sickitlearn, etc as a M.Sc. student. Currently writing a C++ extension for a python module I wrote that implements a northwest corner rule algorithm for unbalanced optimal transport in 1D to beat sinkhorn for monge costs applied to genetics problems via sliced transport as a proxy-solver. At work (GWDG datacenter) I am responsible for designing the architecture and prototypical implementation of an API to integrate external services such as workflow management systems with High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and cloud resources beyond the classical remote interactive shell session and securing this approach using a decoupled OAuth2.0 / 2FA notification system on a web-UI over TLS using VueJs. I use python, C++, javaScript, and mySQL (/SQLite) at my job.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------FOR EMPLOYERS:I’ve had an extensive education in Applied Math and Computer Science. On the other hand, my job as full-stack developer at GWDG has given me ample experience and knowledge about computer architecture and allowed me to implement my software engineering skills in a professional environment. The vision all along, has been to reconsile between the two. A job in computational finance would be the next logical step in that mission.
