I am a licensed mental health counselor through the Florida Department of Health. I have over 17 years experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with individuals and families in their schools, homes, and office settings. My clinical approach is to help a person/family understand their difficulties, define goals, and develop realistic action plans to resolve the challenge (solution focused). I support the person with what they want, they need, and what they are willing to change. My style is mostly how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are all connected in mental health and well-being. I combine many other approaches, with the goal of reducing the severity and frequency of difficulties, as well as improve the person’s overall functioning. The reality is…the world is difficult, unfair, and at times overwhelming to the human mind. My hope is that I can help someone to improve coping skills, develop healthy thought patterns, eliminate harmful, disruptive behaviors, heal from any traumatic experiences, and to gain healthy relationships.
