World is connected. Relations are found between different types of entities in all fields. These relations form networks that are represented as graphs, which are ubiquitous in our world. In Choreograph, we are building a super graph that connects data entities together along with their traits and harness the power of graph representation to solve problems such as data fusion, enrichment and segmentation by designing proper prediction tasks in a privacy-first approach.My role extends from implementing algorithms to generate graphs from relational data model, learn the representation of these graphs and apply proper prediction tasks on them, to build a super ontology to connect different domains using Knowledge Graph technology along with GenAI to help us partially automate the ontology generation process.We use different techniques for graph representation such as GNNs using PyG library, Google VertexAI for LLMs and the rising superstar Langchain to ease building pipelines that benefit from the LLMs.Tasks such as NER and conversational AI are part of our stack.

Have you ever wondered, how your favourite grocery store is always able to make sure that its customers always get the goods they want fresh and without going out of stock with minimum possible waste under certain constraints, such as shelf life, back room capacity, distribution center capacity etc.?Here where data scientists come in play, we build the pipeline to digest large amounts of data and then use optimization algorithms that we design, implement and maintain to deliver best results to our clients.We work extensively with probability theory and optimization theory to predict the demand and use it to solve the replenishment problem for our clients. Of course, it's a constrained optimization problem, which makes it a bit harder than expected and brings many challenges to our plate.We meet our clients regularly to understand their problems and needs and convert those to formal business requirements and ultimately provide them solutions.We work a lot with Python and its data science ecosystem such as Pandas, Numpy and Dask to build our pipeline. Optimization algorithms have to be fast, type safe, therefore we love C++ there (maybe we should modernize some day?).

I worked extensively on object detection model using deep learning techniques. Satellite and drone images are at the center of our interest. We used YOLO model and we had to use an open source implementation and adapt it a little bit to match our use case, specifically the evaluation metric. The main reason to use YOLO was its performance and ability to process a high number of frames per second.After building the model we incorporate it to our production code and started using it on customer data and gradually replace their old system.
