As the most senior data leader at CoBank, I am functioning in the Chief Data Officer (CDO) role with responsibility for all aspects of devising and executing data strategies to transform data from a liability to a strategic asset. I am recruiting and developing a team of data professionals who are building a strong data management foundation centered on data governance and stewardship, data quality, architecture and master data management. At the same time, I am working with business and technical leaders across the enterprise on programs and strategies to develop data literacy and derive business value through business intelligence and data analytics tools and techniques. Through carefully orchestrated investments in people, process and technology we are rapidly growing CoBank's data management and analytics maturity.

✔ Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, worked across key stakeholder groups in Finance, Risk and Treasury to identify and remediate differences in key enterprise loan data and establishing foundation for improved data governance and single version of the truth in the data warehouse to support CCAR credit loss models and financial and regulatory reporting. ✔ Member of leadership team for formation of 200+ Enterprise Data Management organization to deliver data governance, analytics and new capabilities to support big data as well as enhancements to the integrated data warehouse. ✔ Managed data demand with key stakeholders across all lines of business.

✔ Manage accounting operations group responsible for the monthly/quarterly/annual close process and the Peoplesoft general ledger. ✔ Engage with Finance leadership team on accounting treatment of complex transactions, acquisition integration, continuous process improvement and technology implementations.✔ Introduced Oracle financial accounting hub technology to provide better linkage of summarized Peoplesoft general ledger data to granular transaction data needed for changing reporting and modeling requirements. Obtained funding and led implementation of the new technology for PNC’s mortgage business.

✔ Formed a Project Management Office (PMO) with focus on delivering transformational technology to PNC's Finance function. ✔ Implemented a project governance model, hired/developed experienced project managers and established disciplined project management methodology over portfolio of Finance technology projects which included: ✦ Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications ✦ IBM Cognos Financial Statement Reporting ✦ Revelus Basel II Risk Weighted Capital ✦ Oracle Data Relationship Manager ✦ Multiple Tax automation platforms.
