Researched and developed an injector for secondary electron emission (SEE) experiments on lunar dust samples to inform Artemis spacesuit and lander charging mitigation strategies.- Created concepts, sketches, and working prototypes of 2 injectors- Compared performances and trade-ofss of prototypes to select final design- Assembled, maintained, and operated a high vacuum chamber (10^-5 torr) containing >500V components- Calibrated cameras and class IIIA lasers to image JSC-1A grains of <1mm diameter- Successfully used injector to trap charged dust grains in electrodynamic balance, levitating the grains and enabling performance of SEE experiments- Filed NASA New Technology Report for new design

Researched spacecraft navigation via GNSS to support development of orbital PNT technology and prediction of threats to GPS signal integrity.- Gained expertise in line-of-sight (LoS) models for estimating the availability of GNSS signals in the Space Service Volume through HEO- Compiled data of key performance metrics (acquisition and tracking thresholds) of commercial orbital receivers - Refined an internal MATLAB simulation script to improve accuracy of the LoS model and provide additional input features for users- Presented synthesis of results to PNT team at project conclusion

Analyzed data from FAA test aircraft to determine if the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) met FAA Minimum Operational Performance Standards (MOPS) for message loss rate in-flight.- Compared SBAS flight data and CNES data to identify lost WAAS messages - Created figures to show that the real-world message loss rate falls well within the MOPS requirement during standard flight conditions- Published results in a paper and presented at the ION 2021 conference
