Matt Horning started his IT career installing most of the PC’s in the NKC School District in the mid 1990’s. The excitement that he saw from the teachers and students at that time ignited his passion to see others as excited about their technology. He then moved into a corporate system administrator role where he cut his teeth on NT 4.0, networking, and document management. He then moved into small business support with a small IT firm in south Kansas City. He again got to see that same excitement from the small business community. He started his first IT business in 2001 which he grew to about 30 monthly active clients. Then in 2016 he purchased Velocity Computer Tech with his wife. In 2019 he then launched Blue Tree Technology with his wife as the majority owner. His passion now is still the excitement wrapped around technology but also the growth of Blue Tree Technology clients and their employees.
