Office based general anesthesia services

Remote clinical supervision and mentorship. Provide support with respects to student professional development, continued learning and education, and administrative support to the School of Dentistry.

On-site clinical anesthesia provider and Director of Anesthesia Operations of a high-volume, multi-state Dental Service Organization with over 40 locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. Personally responsible for general anesthesia care rendered to approximately two-thousand pediatric and special needs patients each year. Director responsibilities included clinical oversight of a team of 5 anesthesiologists and approximately 20 direct support staff. Development of department policies and policy implementation. Resource management and logistics for all offices and development of supply hubs, supply chains, and inventory management for all existing and de novo locations. Negotiated corporate contracts with medical suppliers for equipment and medication cost savings worth over 200K yearly. Engineered several quality assurance and performance improvement metrics to reduce waste, overhead cost, and enhancement of the patient experience and alongside treatment safety protocols, the latter of which relied heavily on staff development and extensive staff training which included development of emergency preparedness protocols and regular in office emergency training simulations. Collaboration with several multidisciplinary teams to ensure operational success, including several on-site office management teams across all regions, and at the cooperate level, coordinated with billing, procurement, and compliance departments to ensure proper business flow. Held regularly scheduled meetings with the Division of Pediatrics, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer to ensure departmental success of our clinical operations.
