As an Audit Supervisor, my roles and responsibilities encompass the following:- Leading the client facing teams on field for planning, execution, and completion of assurance engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and legal frameworks;- Planning the engagement fieldwork, review, deliverable and completion timelines as well as managing teams to ensure the right mix of skills and strengths are being leveraged as effectively and efficiently as possible;- Managing all facets of engagements, including pre-engagement acceptance procedures like KYC, conflict and independence checks of the engagement team, engagement planning, overall strategy setting, risk assessment, materiality determination, and allocation of resources. - Performing audit procedures and concluded results over complex areas and decision making over critical issues;- Liaising with client, audit team members, internal and external experts involved in the engagements;- Reviewing financial statements including related disclosures to ensure compliance with internal accounting records, International Financial Reporting Standards, and other legal frameworks;- Reviewing the work of junior staff including on the job training for their professional development while contributing to my own technical capabilities and business acumen;- Administering the career development of team members under my direct reporting to ensure development of the audit staff;- Focusing on building client-firm relationships and ensuring that deliverables are prepared within the time frame agreed without compromising organizational quality benchmarks;- Underwent comprehensive review of client engagements by the firm's internal Engagement Quality Control Review (EQCR) partner; and - Using "Caseware" for the documentation of the whole audit assignment including planning, risk assessment and concluding section of the engagement.
