I am a Cambridge Medical School graduate, full-stack web developer and computer scientist currently working as a clinical academic fellow in neurology at Cambridge University Hospitals while completing a PhD in Computer Sciences at Newcastle University. I have a broad range of experience in Neuroscience research, having worked on electrophysiology of the auditory systems, decision diffusion models in human vision and single neuron recordings of emotion and emotional regulation in humans. I was recently the clinical research associate for the CANDO project at Newcastle University, developing an optogenetic brain implant for control of focal epilepsy, and during this time my research interests have moved into bioinformatics and models of risk, particularly in healthcare. I have independently developed clinical databases used in multiple centers for research and audit purposes and have a strong interest in developing the link between clinicians and patients in data collection for healthcare and research, and the intelligent application of machine learning to clinical problems.
