As an IT consultant in Misr El Keir Foundation, I am working with their staff in a project based engagement.During engagements, I provide strategic guidance with regard to technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes in each project. Also, providing guidance during selection and procurement.Tasks typically involve:• Meeting with MEK and their beneficiaries to determine requirements;• Working with MEK and their beneficiaries to define the scope of a project;• Planning timescales and the resources needed;• Clarifying system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business;• Travelling to beneficiaries sites;• Liaising with staff at all levels of a beneficiary organisation;• Defining software, hardware and network requirements;• Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems;• Presenting solutions in written or oral reports;• Purchasing systems where appropriate;• Designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems, if applicable;• Preparing documentation and presenting progress reports;• Identifying potential beneficiaries and building and maintaining contacts.

After a year and a half of success in NBTC, I was promoted to be the director of the growing Marketing Activities in NBTC.Achievements:1. Built the organizational structure of the Marketing Department.2. Put a detailed marketing strategy for the NBTC in Egypt.3. Introducing the marketing activities in the regional branches all over Egypt.4. Enhance the image of the governmental services among the private health sector and we achieved to be the center of choice when it comes to Blood Bank services.5. Build a strong links between the NBTC and the community of Blood Bankers in Egypt and Arab world.6. Held many national and international conferences among Blood Bank Services providers.I have left this position while the NBTC is conducting its services all over Egypt and has very good relationships with National Blood services in the world.

Joined NBTC while it was under construction and this gave me the opportunity to share actively in putting its strategic directions.Upon starting operations; I have introduced the idea of having a dedicated marketing department. By this time, the idea of having a dedicated marketing team in a health organization was not easily accepted in the Egyptian culture, especially for a governmental entity. The higher management gave us the needed support to this idea and we started the team.I have trained a team of six physicians to cover all our expected clients, whether governmental or privately held.
