I also improved the strategic budgeting process and managed retail planning stages, strategic roadmap, product assortment, execution, and measurements. By implementing an assortment roadmap optimization tool, I was able to increase category sales an average of 1.9% in just six months, which represented $600K+ in new revenue. Through the introduction of single-hierarchy changes to streamline business insights, I elevated reporting to 98.7% data accuracy across all reporting tools. As the Marketing Manager for Global Product Strategy, I managed marketing and strategic partnership go-to-market initiatives including pricing, associations, analyst relationships, trends, competition analysis, global regulations and standards, and customer case studies. By spearheading new product development and launch, I was able to generate several million dollars in new product sales. I also standardized the RFP/RFQ process, which allowed the sales team to respond to potential clients 50% faster. In an effort to increase the company’s sales pipeline, I led a company re-branding initiative that included a complete website redesign, new logo and tagline, enhanced website content, and extensive employee training. Senior Product Marketing ManagerWebster Industries Oct 2006 - Sep 2012UsWebster Industries is a private label, institutional and branded manufacturing company of plastic products for grocery store chains, DIY hardware chains, mass merchants, drugstore chains, distributors, wholesalers, and small independent retail chains. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, I managed store brands for Walmart in the US and Canada, Big Lots, White Rose, and Krasdale, as well as Webster’s branded trademarks. In total, I managed 45% of the company’s total business. I spearheaded P&L, budgeting, operations, forecasting, cost/benefit analysis, market analysis, and product lifecycle direction. I also provided critical analysis support for Walmart US for all supply-chain management and manufacturing functions. One of my greatest career wins has been development of a new “green” trashcan liner for Walmart. This single product catapulted Webster’s gross revenues from Walmart by $6M. My efforts with the “Earth Sense” brand of can liners extended our presence from three SKUs to nine SKUs in just two years, with revenue increases of more than $2M. The in/out promotional product line I introduced to DIY hardware chains was picked up exclusively by Home Depot. In response to the rise in oil prices, I led cost-saving production measures including down-gauging can liners without sacrificing strength. Through improved forecasting accuracy initiatives, we achieved 92% accuracy in cases sold vs. cases forecasted (a 27% improvement over the previous year). I also reduced SKUs on shortage reports 43% in just one year.
