Senior Software Engineer (React-Redux, Graphql, Node.Js, Java/Groovy, Serverless Framework, Aws)
Current◆ Delivered QR code generation tool far surpassing all competitors in terms of features according to rigorous specifications: multiple image formats (SVG/PDF/EPS/raster), color modes (RGB/CMYK/grayscale), custom module shapes, color gradients, logos with fading contoured margins, clipped background image or background modules within polygonal/custom frames, automatic positioning within largest empty space of a background image, text paths, barcode width reduction, etc. Created a streamlined, modular pipeline orchestrating all the necessary image processing/conversion tools/libraries and original classes/functions/calculations. Also developed way to transform pipeline from object-oriented/imperative to simpler functional/declarative style.◆ Deployed “serverless” applications with AWS for data ingestion, web-based data administration UIs, and QR code product landing pages. Set up an event-driven pipeline for ingestion, cataloging, deduplication, transformation, analysis, and visualization of traffic data for scanned QR codes with Amazon EventBridge, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, and Quicksight.◆ Led recreation of front-end, reducing tens of thousands of lines of code by 60-90%. Rewrote React UIs with best up-to-date libraries and coding practices. Made appropriate choices between using local state and contexts with hooks versus Redux store. Created dedicated Apollo GraphQL server with schema stitching and adopted Relay client framework for features such as query batching, caching, optimistic updates, conventions reducing boilerplate code, etc.◆ Recreated core services with APIs conforming to OAS 3.0 with appropriate unit and integration tests and used Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment.◆ Reduced time to onboard large volumes of customer product/brand data (from S3) and to generate product landing pages by >90% for legacy systems in Java/Spring and Groovy/Grails.
