My view on what it means to be a speech-language pathologist: Success driven LimitlessPerseveranceMy passion for helping people started at a young age and has followed me into adulthood. I enjoy making others smile and making an impact when I can. Witnessing a positive change first hand inspires me. I struggled academically throughout my grade school years. Thankfully, I began seeing a speech-language pathologist (SLP) to help me. I still remember how kind, compassionate, and empathetic she was. She applied different strategies and went above and beyond to assist me so I could succeed towards my academic goals. Her presence in my life positively affected my schooling and my career path. Fast forward to my college years, I knew that I wanted to study and work hard to become a speech-language pathologist. I strongly believed that I possessed the skills needed to become a passionate SLP. As SLPs, we strive to be successful, not only for ourselves but those that we service. We are limitless in our knowledge, meaning we are constantly learning and improving ourselves. We display perseverance despite facing opposition. I am new in my career, but I truly love being a SLP and look forward to any and all challenges and opportunities!
