• Formulated strongly acidic slurry solutions containing precursor cathode material, dried and calcinated at temperatures over 800°C to produce metal oxides (cathode materials).
• Tested Li-ion coin cells for cathode materials to validate and compare electrochemical performances, such as battery degradation, charge/discharge capacities and voltage curves.
• Developed synthesis optimization by troubleshooting unintended effects of parameter changes utilizing root cause analysis, such as determining extent of temperature influences on total metal dissolution abilities.
• Translated benchtop-scale lab parameters to pilot reaction (100L) specification.
