From 2010 to 2013, I advised four Telecommunications Ministers during a challenging period in Somalia under three presidents and five prime ministers. As Minister from January 2014 to February 2016, I implemented key initiatives, establishing a regulatory framework for Somalia's telecom sector. My work focused on creating the technical and legal foundation necessary to deliver better services for all Somalis and positioning the sector as a regional leader with a global presence—a mission that remains close to my heart.Today, I am back in the tech field, involved in areas ranging from IoT, cryptocurrency, and mobile money standardization to IDN @ ICANN, with academic research as a constant pursuit. Though politics recently captured my attention, my passion remains rooted in big-picture ICT strategies and advancing global ICT business.Over the past 25 years, I have developed national ICT strategies and telecom regulatory frameworks, leading major digitization and data modeling projects across industries including energy, education, finance, and healthcare in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Kuwait, the UAE, and Somalia. My expertise spans three decades of focusing on digitizing business processes to foster sustainable growth.Technical Specialties: Mobile technology solutions, e-health, mobile money, and its evolution into cryptocurrencies.
