I have worked in large institutions (Environment and Climate Change Canada) and as an executive board member for small community daycares. I have worked in established companies (Abbott Point of Care, i-STAT) and high-growth driven businesses (Canopy Growth Corporation) and now I am very proud to be supporting customers at Growcer. I have built new teams, led existing and managed a cultural transformation. I have worked with national and international stakeholders to develop new air pollution regulations and within a national company to launch new cannabis products. My teams have ranged in size from 3 to over 150 with a budget of over $5 million. … what about when I’m not working? There are many things I love to do! On top of the list is spending time with my family, preferably eating French fries after a hike, cross country ski or bike ride. I also love hosting friends for drinks or to share a meal. When I need some quiet time, you’ll find me running, reading, or baking (I’m sure you can guess what option my family prefers!).

Assistant General Manager Food, Beverages, Vapes And Regional Distribution Centre OperationsCanopy Growth Corporation Sep 2020 - Dec 2020Smiths Falls, Ontario, CanadaIn addition to running the beverage and ingestibles facilities listed above, I was also responsible for running the operations of the Regional Distribution Centre (RDC). [All of Canopy’s products travel through the RDC for excise stamping and shipping to customers.] A key part of this role was leading the transformation of RDC from supply chain to operations. I led a team of mangers who are experts in production, inventory, and shipping. I provided the overall direction and support for the RDC team during this time. This support included training such as survivor’s guilt, problem solving, and team development. Most importantly, I provided consistent communications to the team. In addition, I updated the production data collected to improve performance measurement. During this transition, labour was optimized, processes were improved and all shipments were met. What an incredible team!

I also supported the Senior Management by leading initiatives related to budget preparation and forward looking operational plans for the Division.Prior to these roles, I was the technical lead responsible for developing and publishing new air pollutant emission standards for Canada's off-road diesel engines which power farm tractors, construction equipment, forestry equipment etc. These regulations were published in 2011. From 2009 until I left the Division in the spring of 2016, I was the risk manager for the regulations that limit the flow rate of gasoline during vehicle re-fueling.
