About Mia Blitstein

A creative and goal-oriented multi-tasker, I am most comfortable as a leader. I like to bring fresh ideas as well as proven strategies to the problem solving table. Infusing humor, personality, and respect into my work -especially with children- increases success for all. Since graduating from college, I have been working to instill a love of literacy in all of my students. Teaching writing is one of my passions because of how empowering it can be to have your voice heard, and all students deserve to know that feeling, especially students of color, who have been granted fewer opportunities to academically thrive in under resourced schools. My goals are to reach a broader number of children by concentrating more on teacher and community support.
