I am a firm believer in the power of music. I believe that it is a universal language that can reach out to and be reached by all of us. We are exposed to music from before we are exposed to the world. I believe in the therapeutic influence of music, and this is why I chose Music Therapy as my field of study. Music Therapy improves the "quality of life" because it targets the human element as various intertwined entities and as a whole:- a physical entity - an emotional entity - a mental capacity and a state of mental wellbeing - a social entityetc.. in order to explore, enhance and develop one's health "in cognitive, motor, emotional, communicative, social, sensory, and educational domains by using both active and receptive music experiences."
