Hello! I am Mia Ford, a recent graduate of UCLA with a degree in Mathematics, driven by a passion for making a positive impact. Currently, I'm dedicated to supporting young adults as the Early Program Supervisor at Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars, where I coordinate programs to foster college attainment knowledge for thousands of students in the Ontario-Montclair School District.At PwC, I had the opportunity to work as a Remote Extern, where I designed fact sheets and conducted competitor analysis for Extreme Kids & Crew, contributing to strategic positioning within the nonprofit landscape. I also developed and implemented evaluation frameworks to enhance organizational impact reporting and performance improvement initiatives.When I was at UCLA, I actively engaged with the Afrikan Student Union, focusing on the Academic Supports Program, a groundbreaking retention project aimed at empowering and retaining 100% of Black students at UCLA. Through this experience, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges Black students face and honed my skills in creating effective support systems for them.At UCLA's First To Go Office, I had the privilege of working with first-generation students, hosting workshops, organizing events, and curating social media content to provide them with essential resources. It was incredibly fulfilling to be part of a team that empowered these students and helped them navigate the college experience with confidence.Now, as I embark on the next chapter of my career, my goal is to continue making a difference in the nonprofit sector, improving business processes and implementing solutions. I am eager to showcase my skills, passion, and dedication where I can contribute to the growth and development of young adults in need. My drive to support and uplift others fuels my motivation, where I can leverage my expertise to create impactful programs, develop strategic partnerships, and ensure the successful implementation of initiatives.In addition to my professional endeavors, I find solace and inspiration in the pages of the latest novels and nonfiction books.
