As a Family and Human Service Major from Towson University, my focus of interest is Education and Family Policy. I have participated in two separate research projects that explored teaching methods and increasing trends in parental age. My education has provided me with the knowledge surrounding policy analysis, child development, human behavior, and the nuances of relationships that will help me become the best advocate possible for marginalized individuals in need of government services. While working in Baltimore City schools, I witnessed funding, healthcare, and housing issues that directly affected my students. This experience led me to seek an administrative, policy focused career so I could directly address these problems and seek solutions for them. While I obtain my Bachelor's degree, I have continued to exercise my love for serving and helping others through my job as an Assistant Manager at Old Mill Cafe. After I graduate, my goal is to become a federal, state, or local government employee to advance Education and Family Policy for our future generations. I plan on doing this by working for Howard County to learn and emulate their terrific public school system and family policies, and taking that knowledge with me for my future endeavors.
