About Mia Rogers
I have always found enjoyment in serving others to incite positive change in different communities, and I am committed to continue serving in various leadership capacities. My experiences working with families and individuals in need have only reaffirmed the importance of adaptability, problem-solving and cultural understanding to implement positive changes effectively. Utilizing an anthropological lens as the foundation of my work, whether it be through non-profit, legal or government spaces, allows me to excel at doing so. In adopting this perspective, I have developed a vast cultural awareness and interpersonal skill set needed to address complex situations and issues. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have been able to foster my passion for sociocultural anthropology and social justice inside and outside of the classroom. From leading the curation and implementation of several projects dedicated towards diversity, equity and inclusion to conducting qualitative research on the barriers present in legal processes I have developed the ability to - community organize- retrieve and analyze data to problem solve- build, maintain and mediate interpersonal relationshipsI am excited to continue to use cultural research to address issues in the community and in the workplace. I further aspire to draw on my past experiences to foster education, success and collaboration on a wider scale.
