During my time working as an agent, my duties included answering calls from customers with banking enquiries including transfers and the set up/cancellation of standing orders and direct debits. My role required me to act with professionalism and discretion due to working with sensitive information.

While working at Lynas Food Outlet, I carried out duties such as providing high quality customer service while upholding excellent values to ensure customer satisfaction. I was also trained to serve customers on the tills and handled transactions including credit, cash, exchanges, returns and refunds to ensure accurate cash flow. I maintained a clean and organised environment by carrying out roles such as neatly stocking shelves, tidying the shop and brushing the floor.

I am also a fully qualified nail technician. I recently took part in a nail course which led to me being fully qualified after spending months of practicing independently. With this new skill I started off my business in a small spare room in my house but have recently moved into my mums salon to increase my clients. My nail career reflects my patience and determination to perfect a new skill that is very time consuming. Although at the start when I was practicing there was times when I was tempted to give up when comparing my work to other more experienced nail technicians work, I persevered and I am so glad that I did so.

I have been employed in an ice cream parlour/coffee shop where I am responsible for roles such as serving customers food and beverages to the highest quality standard in a fast paced environment. I am also responsible for handling cash at the till when I am taking payments from customers and as Nibbelicious operates on a cross border basis, I also have to keep up with changing exchange rates. My position in Nibbelicious requires me to work in a team as me and my colleagues work together to serve multiple customers which gives me the chance to improve on my team work and communication skills.

Throughout my time working in retail I have developed many skills such as time and money management, working at a till, good customer service skills and also further developed my social skills. I would also consider myself to be a very fast learner and this was shown through my ability to work on the till alone after only a day or two of till training. I adapted very fast to working in retail and managed the stress very maturely. I maintain a good relationship with my colleagues and managers in work as well as working to the best of my ability during every shift and pushing myself to learn new skills and capabilities
