I've always followed my heart, pursued what I really wanted, or thought I wanted and needed. It worked out, most of the time.In 2005 I went overseas for the first time, New Zealand..then back to the Netherlands, then New Zealand again, Australia followed quickly after. I felt Australia was more my home than where I was born, I felt myself, free and content. So, that's where I stayed, permanently. I became Australian and lost my Dutch Nationality.Then Covid happened.And I found out what it means to live on an Island, a big one yes, but an island nevertheless. And my family did not live on that island...I felt isolated, and for the first time I felt the impact of not being a Dutch National anymore. Experiencing a traumatic event in 2021 exacerbated that feeling of isolation and impacted on my mental health.So, after a visit in 2023 I decided to return to the country of my birth and am now looking for "my new path" I've got lots of ideas and am keen to connect and contribute to a community. Which one?I don't know yet, I trust I will find the entry to the path I need to be on: for now, then and beyond..Work-wise I have experience in lots of different areas: Social Work, Child Safety, Disability Care, Migrants & Refugees, Youth Justice, Hospitality, Tourism, Management, Family Support, Customer Service, Coaching, and a range of different tasks at Music and Cultural Festivals. I enjoy learning new things, work the best in a dynamic environment, and in a flexible work place arrangement.
