During November 2022 I was the only final year student to volunteer to take part in a pilot workshop to trial whether bringing Climate Fresk into Nottingham Trent University would be a good idea. Following this, I took the next step during April 2023 and attended a training day to become a facilitator. I’m now the first and only student at NTU who has this qualification / title, along with 5 members of staff from the Art & Design school, and another group of staff who are working within the sustainability department. I am so proud of myself for putting myself forward and being involved with such an amazing NGO, and my skills and knowledge are invaluable to any brand looking to navigate climate issues, work on sustainable elements, and improve workforce knowledge.As a Climate Fresk Facilitator I am now fully equipped to run my own workshops for students, kids, and adults.

Currently interning with start up recruitment service Zynd, to revitalise their social media strategy. The aim is to create a plan on how to grow the brand awareness, and welcome more paid members in terms of job seekers and hiring managers. This is a 6-week internship, so I am hoping to establish a new way forward for the brand and its social accounts. There is lots of potential since it’s such an in-demand and useful service, and so I want to ensure they are targeting consumers the correct way.

Throughout my time as a Sales Associate at Coach, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, I developed strong skills in customer retention and clienteling, focusing on building lasting relationships through exceptional customer service and personalised client development strategies. On the shop floor, I utilised my in-depth product knowledge of the brand's luxury items and leather practises to influence sales and consistently reach commission targets. My role involved managing customer relationships, including setting up personal appointments and engaging in email marketing to further enhance customer connections. Additionally, I stayed ahead of client needs through trend research, and I collaborated effectively with my team, contributing to the store's overall success and progression into one of the top-level Coach UK outlet stores.

Luvyababes is a fancy dress store which is famous to Nottingham through the very unique personality the store holds. I helped manage the brand’s TikTok (@luvyababes_) with the main purpose to engage new and existing students, giving them outfit inspiration for socials and events throughout the year. We also focused on key calendar events (e.g. Halloween, Christmas, World Book Day, the Jubilee etc) and marketed the store through our social platforms to help increase footfall in-store. I also came up with marketing strategies for the independent business. For example, I mocked-up an advert which featured in Platform magazine.I also assisted with: visual merchandising, cashiering, customer service, t-shirt design & printing.

As a member of Raptor’s Brand Ambassador Academy I worked on a project with Tinder, creating TikToks to promote the ‘Tinder Uni’ feature. I also helped out with a Deliveroo campaign at Uni of Nottingham campus, and further promoted their campaign through my social channels to expand reach.

I thoroughly enjoyed helping students discover the new app and promoting the potential for growth and expansion across the UK and Internationally. It’s an important tool for nightlife venues to implement. It has the ability to find your friends through Bluetooth connections in the venues, rather than having to rely on signal and data.

In this role I worked alongside Coco Tang’s manager, PR officer, and 2 other students. The aim was to bring student nights back to Nottingham’s exclusive bar, and we successfully did so! I helped as part of the Design team, as well as the PR team. I helped make decisions on prices, the branding, music etc. Our event took place on March 23rd and sold out on the day. Feedback from attendees was extremely positive and so the next one is now being planned.

When working at TK Maxx, it's vital you can demonstrate a knowledge of the wide variety of worldwide brands they stock to ensure your customer's satisfaction. Working here and studying my degree definitely pair well together, and because of this I've received associate of the month multiple times.I can work all roles of the shop floor job which includes: maintaining all departments to keep sight lines and feature ends on top, merchandising each department to increase sales, cashiering and providing excellent customer service to maximise sales (often persuading customers to sign up to the company reward scheme), Covid marshal and cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness, keeping the fitting rooms tidy to ensure stock is flowed back onto the floor as soon as possible. I also tag and flow out delivery, as well as helping markdown sales.After working full time for a year from September 2018, I then started transferring between my store at home and the Nottingham Trinity store on a part-time contract as I enjoy always working and keeping busy.

Produced outstanding customer service in all aspects of the job since I had to learn about each of the brands stocked in-store: Topshop, Wallis, Oasis, etc. I was aware of all types of customers and how to tailor my customer service to them individually. Due to this knowledge I frequently helped style customers to their specific taste, building outfits for them in line with their price point. I also helped the store reach targets through ‘store card’ customer incentives, e-receipts and in-store orders.
