I am Mia Edbrooke, I am a neurodivergent, feminist Designer based in London and Brighton, with a combined considerate practice of research, probing for evidence and tinkering/making to question and address larger issues that underpin society. Founder of The Fembotics Lab. An innovative and talented candidate, with experience working on circular economy projects, UI and UX design and development, and insightful, forward-thinking, confrontational and considerate projects addressing societal exclusion and Femtech. I am trying to do this by tackling exclusion through our systems, technology and design; currently with a focus on tackling stigma, education and development around menstrual cycles. I aim to address inequality and exclusion of both people and planet. This being either in existing design and systems, or using design to address it elsewhere, with the goal of sustainable design, inclusion and equality. Being a designer puts me in a position to design the change I want to see in the world. I observe a world where there is still much suffering for many people and the environment due to inequality, technology and a deficit of respect, however, if we design to include consideration for all, people, and environments then no one will be left out and suffer.I'd love to hear from you, please get in contact at miaedbrookework@gmail.com
