In January, 2023 I had first imagined the concept of the experimental literary magazine New Lit Mag. In the following months, I worked as the sole member of the team, curating and working with the writers and artists who contributed to the magazine to publish and launch a print copy of this collection of works. I had garnered a following on social media, built a website and online store, learned all the practical ins and outs of print media, all during a full-time course load of classes at Concordia and working at a restaurant to pay for the initial cost of printing 250 magazines. I have learned a lot from this experience and am so excited to continue my journey through the world of publishing.I love thrifting, live music, a good debate with friends, and rearranging the furniture in my apartment on a rainy day.

  As the editor in chief, I curated and worked with the writers and artists who contributed to New Lit Mag to publish and launch a print copy of this collection of experimental writing. I also filled the roles of designer, coordinator, event planner, website builder, and promotor, among others. I was also responsible for writing copy for our website, writer contracts, writer outreach campaigns, and grant applications.
