We understand diversity is not enough. We build with people in the public, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. We also collaboratively closely with public libraries. For 10 years, I led travel to Civil Rights sites throughout the U.S. Deep South, including to my home state of Alabama. These journeys deeply inform our approach to organizational development and support of collective leadership models. Drawing on my formal and informal education, I lead with special attention to shared values, clear and transparent processes, and building trust. All of the work at Freedom Lifted centers relationships and challenges communities to reflect deeply, act bravely, and imagine boldly.
