Dr. Anna H. Chacon, M.D., a Miami native, is a distinguished dermatologist and author. She embarked on her academic journey at Carrollton School for girls in Miami, graduating as valedictorian and securing a place in an Ivy League medical school during her senior year of high school. She completed her undergraduate degree in Economics and her medical degree at Brown University as part of the Program of Liberal Medical Education (PLME).Dr. Chacon's dedication to her field earned her a scholarship to pursue clinical clerkships at Rambam Healthcare Campus in Haifa, Israel, one of the largest hospitals in the Middle East.After medical school, she completed a fellowship in dermatologic & laser surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Keyvan Nouri. During this time, she authored numerous articles, book chapters, and managed several clinical research studies. She then completed a one-year surgical internship at Orlando Regional Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Chacon has undergone extensive training in various dermatological areas, including Hansen's disease & leprosy, skin disease in the setting of HIV, MOHS surgery, laser and cosmetic dermatology, and advanced techniques in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery. She is a prolific author, with over a dozen peer-reviewed articles and book chapters to her credit. Her work has been published in esteemed journals such as JAAD, Archives of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, and Cutis.In her practice, Dr. Chacon treats a wide range of dermatological issues, including skin cancer, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, acne, warts, and more.
