Proposed an optimization scheme for an MIC (Many Integrated Core) offload program, accelerated the programs by limiting the use of mutex and improving the waiting mechanism of the threads. Wrote the program with C and pthread, got a 12% improvement. Reported several bugs of MIC environment Finished four performance tests on Westmere and Sandy Bridge machines under Red Hat Linux, compiled different types of programs (C, C++, Fortran) by writing or configuring makefile files, analyzed the running time, hotspots (the most time consuming part), waits and locks by using VTune or my own bash scripts, completed reports and white papers for these tests
