Hickory Villa is an assisted living facility that cares for about 50 residents. As a chef/server, my main goal is to provide the residents with excellent service that can enhance their quality of life. • When working as a server, I ensure that the residents have an aesthetically pleasing dining room for each meal by setting tables with tablecloths, proper flatware settings, cloth napkins and small floral arrangements. Meals are served efficiently by double-checking orders before taking the plates to the correct resident. After meals are done, the tables are bussed, dishes are washed, and the dining room is cleaned.• When working as a chef, I prepare nutritious meals for residents by following recipes. I also fulfill their individual requests and needs by making food items that are not on the main menu.• No matter which position I am working, I maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, kitchenette and dining room per Nebraska State Sanitation Regulations.• I have taken inventory of food items and cleaning supplies. I have been responsible for picking up and delivering orders from the supplier to the facility.

As a medication aid, I administered medications to residents accurately and in a timely manner.Proficient MAR, Medication Administration Record, documentation per Nebraska State regulations.I assisted residents with daily living activities such as showers and laundry. At times, this would require me to do some heavy lifting.When I worked as a medication aid, my main priority was the happiness of my residents. If I knew how one liked their laundry folded, I would make sure I did it they way they preferred. By building positive relationships with those I cared for, I was able to learn about my residents on a personal level and provide them with the most excellent care I could.
