Micaela Pirritano Email and Phone Number
I am a Music Therapist (MTA) and Master's student in Educational Psychology dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children and youth. As the founder of InTandem Music Therapy, my approach prioritizes relational learning over traditional behavioural practices, fostering a collaborative and individualized experience for every client. By emphasizing autonomy, creativity, and play, I help children discover new ways to express themselves, communicate, and connect with the world around them.My work is grounded in disability justice, informed by critical disability studies, and focuses on creating equitable opportunities for learning and growth. Through a nuanced understanding of each child’s unique strengths and challenges, I aim to empower them to navigate their social and educational environments confidently. Whether building routine-based skills or exploring music freely, I adapt to what fits best for each client, knowing that their voices and experiences are at the heart of meaningful therapy.Currently, I am completing my Master's degree, where my research explores the role of technology in equitable education for autistic youth. My passion for inclusive practices extends to improving access and representation in educational systems to create enriching, accessible environments for all children.Let’s connect to discuss how we can foster inclusive, community-focused practices together!
