The majority of my work revolves around designing PCB's, circuits, troubleshooting circuit(s), circuit boards, fully built units (soft and hard tooled units), working with DC-DC converters, high (+600V) & (+24V) low voltage testing/troubleshooting (+15kW systems), EMC design and mitigation, working with MathCad, developing engineering design notes, reading schematics and datasheets, presenting and making critical project and design decisions, designing snubber circuit networks, working with mentor graphics schematic capture and layout browser tools, working with CAN communication protocols, programming PCB and fully assembled inverters/converters, mentoring and overseeing part-time students/interns while in the lab, use of oscilloscope, power supplies, network analyzers, Microsoft office, Matlab, understanding programming logic as it relates to hardware function, working with bi-temps, other engineering lab equipment, reporting to senior staff engineers, project managers, and a continued growth and willingness to learn new skills.

The main objective was to perform key extraction, test the AES encryption and it's strength through side channel analysis. Working with open source code (Linux). The encryption was installed on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for testing and evaluation.
