I am an Arctic Ecohydrologist and Master of Science (MSc) student at the University of British Columbia in the Team Shrub (Myers-Smith) research program in the faculty of Forest and Conservation Science. I study ecological change through remote sensing using satellite, drone, and LiDAR data. In particular, I am interested in climate change-induced hydrological change, and how it influences plant communities and holistic ecological systems in the Arctic environment.I got my undergraduate degree from McMaster's prestigious Integrated Science (iSci) program and graduated with distinction (Summa Cum Laude) and with a Concurrent Certificate in GIS. Through my program, I have gained a broad interdisciplinary skill set in the sciences, while focusing on my interest in environmental science and ecology. I provide valuable skills in GIS and spatial statistics, and am proficient in a variety of coding languages; R, Python, MATLAB, and Java. I have an advanced skill set in GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. Outside of my education, I have held a variety of research positions with MAC Ecohydrology, McMaster Center for Climate Change, HydroMet Lab, and the Avian Behavioural and Molecular Ecology Lab. I have been involved in and conducted research on a wide range of fields, including wildfire fuel regimes, peatland ecosystem remote sensing, and black-legged tick spatiotemporal range shifts, as well as smaller projects on viticulture (wine science), astrophysics, drug synthesis, psychedelic therapy, seismology, and more.
