I am the finance manager for Rubis Bahamas and Rubis Turks and Caicos Ltd., a position held for thirteen years- the majority of which was spent with the former Chevron company. I'm responsible for oversight and coordination of finance support, including overseeing delivery of transactional accounting both locally and to the corporate office in France. I also served a tenure of 3years as FM for Rubis Cayman Islands.I began my career at Solomon Brothers Limited in the early-1990s. Over the thirteen years that followed, assumed a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, from accounts supervisor of Solomon Mines to office manager of Solomon’s Club to controller of Solomon’s Super Center, before landing the strategic position of finance manager, Chevron in 2003.The breadth of my experience in my current capacity is vast. I manage a team of ten and provide succession planning and professional development oversight to ensure ample levels of productivity and work-product delivery; lend compliance counsel to the wider organization on policy-related matters, and manage critical stakeholder relationships on behalf of Rubis, including external audits, service providers and requisite branches of government.I'm a seasoned contributor and former chair of various internal cross-functional teams and committees both with decision-making and strategy implementation mandates.I hold a strong interest in social development and is equally engaged in community work. I'm an active member and immediate past treasurer of the Pilot Club of Nassau and work on a variety of community initiatives over many years, including the South Eleuthera Library Project and various Catholic Women’s Auxiliary outreach programs. I hold both a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree with emphasis in Finance from Nova Southeastern University – 2001 and 2003 respectively and was successful in passing the Certified Public Accounting examinations in 2004.
