I'm a food scientist with a passion for exploring the chemistry behind our favorite foods.I am a second-year M.S student in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences studying Food and Nutritional Sciences emphasizing in Food Chemistry and Sustainable Product Development at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State UniversityI received my B.S in Food Science and Technology from Johnson and Wales University. My research primarily focuses on Barley Spent Grain, Cereal grains, natural sources antioxidants, polyphenols and the digestibility of free amino acids and sugars in supplemented bread funded by USDA Evans-Allen grant. As a food chemist, I’m deeply committed to ensuring that the food we eat is safe, nutritious, and delicious. From analyzing food samples in the lab to testing new methods and protocols, I am dedicated to using my knowledge and expertise to promote food safety and quality.
