About Micah Denney

"It's a beautiful thing when a career and a passion come together". I have been extremely fortunate to have followed that quote for most of my career. From working in sport and event management, to working for the Walt Disney Company, and most recently becoming a leader in a role where I could help others grow and develop, I have been merging my passions with my career. I have had the pleasure of working as an event operations assistant at a 6,500 capacity venue where I have prepared the facility and managed the Guest flow for concerts by Ludacris, Panic! at the Disco, Florida Georgia Line, and Twenty One Pilots. I have managed and supervised teams at this same venue who were responsible for ensuring sold out events such as the Georgia High School Association state basketball playoffs were able to happen safely and with a courtesy that I expect my team to show to our visiting Guests.I am also happy to say that I brought my passion for theme parks into my career. I worked the main entrance admissions for Magic Kingdom with the Walt Disney World Resort and grew from that role into organizing and hosting Cast Member appreciation events. I was able to provide magic to the Cast that worked so hard to provide magic to our Guests. I worked with a team to host cookouts where we grilled free lunch for our Cast Members and I was also responsible for distributing Cast Member recognition and milestone moments in their career.With Disney I developed a passion for Cast Member and employee growth. This passion led to my most recent position of being a Sales Operations Assistant Manager with Disney Vacation Club. In this role I was a leader on a team with around 160 Cast Members. I was extremely lucky to be able to work with so many great people who shared a desire to grow both personally and professionally. As a leader and a manager to so many valuable employees, I was happy to exercise my passion towards their career growth and took pride in seeing members of my team move on to promotional opportunities.I have recently had the opportunity to accept a position back in the field of Sports and Events. I am very fortunate to have joined the Orlando Magic as the Assistant Director of Fan Experience. I look forward to once again merging my passion for Guest service and Sports and will utilize my experience from my time at Disney to further develop the great Fan Experience at the Amway Center.
