The WMC is an organization with 85+ members and staff with a $25 million biennial budget. Appointed directly into the position by the Executive Committee and Executive Director, I am accountable in an executive capacity for the legislative, budget, administrative, research, performance, compliance, and communications functions of the WMC. Internship 2009-2010Beginning as an internship at the completion of my Master’s in Public Administration, my positions with the Nursing Commission introduced me to state service in Washington and signaled my career transition from private to public sector. Through special project assignments, I worked closely with the executive management and support staff, which taught me essential functions of a state organization.
