Current• Engineering a variable robotic "pipe crawler" to autonomously inspect 6 - 14" diameter inner-pipe welds to enhance operational efficiency for the oil and gas industry.• Developing a bio-inspired 3d printable internal material structure with superior ballistic and strain-rate performance as a platform technology for various applications.• Responsible for precision design and CNC manufacturing of critical components for a high-speed mid-wave infrared camera for defense applications.• Designing an AI-informed structural solution for satellite and spacecraft protection, focusing on ultra-lightweight, impact-resistant designs inspired by natural gyroid structures, such as coral and butterfly wings. Optimization efforts involve simulated stress and compression testing, as well as mechanically testing 3d printed structures.• Building a modular 3d printed drone system capable of quick component swapping to address supply line challenges for the military.
