One of the delights of my MBA was getting the chance to utilize the knowledge/experience in creating a SaaS solution for non-profit organizations to save time and help increase their impact. Successfully piloted the early vision, development, market research, business planning, and launch phases of ServiceReef.com in 2013. Since then, business has grown by 85-90% annually and continues to accelerate. I am excited to see this community continue to grow and see organizations find efficiencies through ServiceReef that allow them to expand their serving opportunities domestically and internationally.

Was responsible for several teams on a Ruby on Rails application in a highly scalable 24/7 AWS environment. In this role, I led both software engineering and infrastructure teams supporting ~800 instances across multiple regions, processing over a petabyte of data each day with tight SLAs, and scaling up to thousands of pods (EKS/k8s based environment). Improved the ability of our system to handle the growing customer demands and facilitated an incident management process to drive quality across the organization. In addition to delivering key features and new integrations on time, my team saved the company over $2M annually on our AWS costs in the first 14 months.

I was responsible for the overall delivery of multiple software engineering/development teams. This includes meeting key development initiatives, managing global resources, leading common SDLC/CICD functions, ensuring the security of our platforms (including coding practices, systems, and audits), contributing to new process/product innovations, representing R&D during corporate audits, and working across multiple business groups to ensure successful delivery of key objectives. In many situations, timelines and resources were constrained, yet my teams continued to deliver on-time with a goal toward continual improvement of processes and people.

Guided the strategy and development for River, an online collaboration software used by Fortune 500 companies. This software won awards from:- Bersin & Associates (2011 & 2012 – Vendor Innovation in Learning and Talent Management)- Brandon Hall (2012 & 2013 – Best Advances in Social Learning)In this role, I was responsible for the overall product strategy, feature development, marketing direction, feature roadmap, daily team workload, and launch of products. Managed the daily work of the development team to ensure on-time delivery of enhancements and new products. Accountable to C-Level leaders in developing product strategy, vision, requirement gathering, story grooming/pointing, and measuring business impact. Prioritized development and feature goals across major lines of business, including the final determination in the roadmap of development priorities. Worked directly with external customers in evangelizing the products, conducting usability studies, and identifying new product opportunities.

In this role, I consulted with internal business executives to determine needs and implemented solutions to meet those needs within their divisions. Managed multiple projects concurrently. Solutions in this role often necessitated the development of new training curriculum or creatively adapting current materials. Conducted regional management and skill-based training.

In this role, I led short-term testing teams consisting of 6-12 team members each. Negotiated changes in the software with production and executive teams. My team helped release over 40 separate software products in three years. Responsible for handling 4-6 projects simultaneously.
