I have also established a robust storage system for the organization of our assets, files and projects that utilizes Networked Attached Storage, automated backup scripts and Microsoft OneDrive.

I am an associate producer at Kent State University’s student-run television station, TV2.Here, I do multiple video-related things: For newscasts, I am usually editing news packages,and creating news graphics on a time-crunch in a fast-paced newsroom environment, as wellas providing coverage details and insight. I also record interviews in the field, serve as acameraman for live on-scene broadcasts, and create animated graphics for promotion anduse in other TV2 entertainment shows. I’ve even operated equipment such as the ROSSproduction switcher, K2 VTR, teleprompters, ROSS Xpression, various SONY broadcast cameras, NewTek video replay systems, and LiveU. I also am familiar with ROSS Inception newsroom software.

During my time there, I operated professional theatre equipment, includingShure microphone packs and receivers, Audio Technica microphone packs and receivers,Yamaha mixers, Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini, ETC lighting consoles, as well as many Sonycamcorders. Using this equipment I was able to manage entire theatre productions in a high-pressure environment during a show, with one other person or singlehandedly, doing thingssuch as preparing microphones and audio profiles, creating presets, troubleshooting, settingup equipment, and setting up speakers. Prior to being on payroll I also did these on avolunteer basis. As part of my responsibilities I also trained multiple younger students in theproper operation of the equipment used.

On my time at The Bruin, I covered multiple controversial stories via writing and short-form video documentaries, including things ranging from gun control and religion to the 2020 Presidential Race Iowa Caucus and Black Lives Matter protests. I was also part of a team that completely revamped and overhauled The Bruin's branding and public image, adjusting from less of a traditional newspaper format to more of a newsmagazine-esque, looser concept. Among the updated was our logos, style guides, website, social media presence, and page layouts.The Bruin Wadsworth High School’s newspaper – Student organized, written, and edited. We publish 8 print issues of our newspaper a year, a yearly magazine issue about our graduating seniors, and update our website and social media pages regularly with topics ranging from local community news to fast-paced world news.
