In 2013, shifted new semiconductor product focus to low-power, mobile audio SoCs – including the first 'headphone-on-a-chip' for Apple's Lightning interface, wake-on-voice front-ends, game controllers, and other low-power audio accessories.

Product Management lead for iHome, the #1 brand in both revenue and units for mobile phone companion speaker systems. Oversaw new category development, technology roadmaps and development partnerships for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirPlay, iOS & Android apps, streaming audio content, smart home, and Disney branded early-learning apps, and play accessories. Led digital transformation for the company, including a complete re-design, re-architecture and deployment of our product delivery infra. Developed new direct-to-consumer marketing and sales platform, iHome.com, customer support center, firmware update OTA deployment service, device activity logging, and usage & sales dashboards.

Advisor to multiple consumer electronics firms (including startups and a Fortune 100) on end-to-end product topics. Focus during this time was on portfolio integration of wireless technologies & mobile apps, as well as integrating social media brand presence into the customer experience.

Endeavor was a non-profit supporting entrepreneurs in developing economies. I worked as an MBA intern at Tecsis, an aerospace technology startup based in Sorocaba, SP Brasil. Tecsis manufactured wind-energy turbine blades and struggled with the demand turbulence associated with wind-energy subsidies. I developed a marketing strategy for the Industrial Fan Division to help diversify their revenue streams.

(Acquired by SAP in 2006)Lean manufacturing and enterprise software implementation consultant at our client - a manufacturer of seriously huge electric motors, many of which help ventilate I-93 running underneath Downtown Boston. Factory Logic built Streamline, a shop-floor management and electronic kanban solution. Generated functional specifications, as well as re-designed the core interaction model for the main application. Won annual company award for visible impact.

Put out fires and prevented others. NPI and production quality engineer for internet appliance, departmental, and workgroup server product lines. Our products powered the first internet bubble, and we spent a lot of time and energy disrupting Sun and competing with Compaq. I was a senior engineer, individual contributor, product expert in a factory environment. I spent more time than I’d like to admit chasing assembly issues with putting Intel Inside and Windows OS version stickers on correctly, and I debugged a bunch of factory test scripts, and helped catch product config bugs that escaped our product development system tests. Responsible for validation and declaring Ready to Ship for multiple company priority products.

Ford funded my graduate studies at MIT. Applied research to factory design, deriving first principles from decompositions of Toyota Production System and Lean. Generated assembly line design requirements for a new rotary vane AC compressor developed by the climate systems components division, a team later spun out of Ford as part of Visteon.
