Utilising my strengths in business risk management systems, I collaborate with reputable software developers to provide software solutions that include cutting edge technology to manage my clients' QHSE information. These software solutions cover Quality, OHS, Environment, Assets and Contractor Management etc. As a certified OHS professional by the Safety Institute of Australia and Exemplar Global, I am able to provide my clients with confidence to ensure their QHSE and Risk Compliance needs are satisfied.

As a Generalist OHS Professional, I am employed to manage retainer contracts, events and audits. I deliver intelligent audit surveys which identify key areas for improvements based on the applicable legislation and standards. My long standing background in the field of Injury Management and Incident Investigation provides my clients with confidence that outcomes will be delivered in the best interests of all stakeholders. As a qualified Trainer and Assessor, I deliver training packages both in accordance with VET guidelines or in the toolbox sense if required.

Employed in a casual advisory role with Golding Contractors Pty Ltd, I provide advice on common law in relation to complex injury cases, including WorkCover brief building. In addition I have provided consultation services to support implementation and maintenance of effective safety management systems (SMS).This role draws on my extensive experience in the field.

Retained after the completion of my prior contract with the company, I played a key role in project launch, embedding robust and auditable SMS.This included developing and implementing corporate safety management plans (SMP) and supporting regional field-based work groups to ensure SMS compliance. In addition I conducted Quality Management Systems (QMS) audits in accordance with AS4801 and ISO9001, and employed ISO31000 Risk Management principles and guidelines.In addition I promoted a robust safety culture within the business through effective coaching and mentoring methodologies. This included coaching field-based personnel on best practices when securing incident scene information, as the lead ICAM investigator. I also managed complex personal injury cases, and conducted WorkCover brief building. Most notably this role led to the embedding of a robust and auditable SMS, placing the company in an excellent position to move forward with civil projects, maintaining legislative compliance.

This role primarily focused on leading incident investigation, OH&S and QMS auditing, risk assessment, and development of SMS as the Senior OH&S Risk Management Specialist. This included managing a team of specialist WHS advisors and multiple mines, construction and upgrade sites, conducting site visits and inspections to ensure KPI and legislative compliance. My role also broadly included providing gap analyses of company SMPs, legislation and client requirements, and managing hazardous substance and dangerous goods information systems. I also planned and managed shutdowns, ensuring high-risk activities were effectively controlled before commencement of works, and managed subcontractor recruitment.Conducting ICAM incident investigations and WorkCover brief building, I applied robust return to work, injury and WorkCover case management strategies. As a result I was identified within the company as an expert in incident investigation. My advanced skills and thoroughness of practice led to robust outcomes, including corrective actions which ensured swift and measurable closeout of investigations.I also developed and conducted site inductions, toolbox talks and a range of training initiatives, as well as ensuring high-risk activities were effectively controlled before commencement of works. Providing expert legal compliance advice to field-based work groups, contractors, subcontractors and consultants, I engaged stakeholders at all levels, promoting a robust, ethical safety culture.In particular I undertook key projects at a leading gold mine, significantly reducing complex injury management cases, improving TRIFR, and reducing HPIFR. I also improved staff compliance with appropriate incidence response and injury management processes.

Within this role I managed established accounts across a broad range of industries, including the company’s largest and most prestigious accounts, reporting directly to the National Sales Manager. This included playing an integral role in new business development, holding responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients, and driving organic growth of existing accounts. I also performed as a Health and Safety Advisor to major construction and oil and gas projects in western Queensland.Integral to this role was the provision of the key interface between the business and clients. This included conducting site visits, providing account management assistance, educating clients on available products and key features, and providing OH&S advice to clients to inform SWMS. I also led corporate meetings with key decision-makers to ensure prompt sale closure timeframes, and negotiated contracts including variations and compliance. Working with designers and engineers I played an integral role in developing innovative new products to meet client needs, resulting in significant improvements in workplace safety and revenue. Most notably I achieved Sales Person of the Month in 8 consecutive months, based on organic growth, the winning of new accounts, and achievement of an increase in the gross profit margin. In addition I mentored and trained new sales representatives within the territory, including developing product knowledge and legislative understanding, further driving business growth.
